seven dangerous spirits: series 3

Introduction
This post is among a series of posts that discusses the seven dangerous spirits that have made you a beggar when you ought to be an heir, a follower when you ought to be a leader and a suffering Christian when you ought to be a blessed, favored and uplifted believer. Here, we discuss the spirit of disobedience, which has seen great men with possible great future such as King Saul, Lot’s wife, children of Israel, Adam and Eve and Queen Vashti among others, fall. The repercussions of the spirit of disobedience are so dire they affect not only the disobedient individuals but also, the community around them and even nation(s), reverberating up to the third and fourth generation. Mark you we are what we are because of Adam and Eve succumbing to the spirit of disobedience.
Spirit of Disobedience
The spirit of disobedience has the tendency to twist the truth, blame others and justify disobedient actions.
Ø  Adam and Eve are classic examples of people under the spell of the spirit of disobedient. Instead of admitting their disobedience, which is a sin, they went into a blaming mode with Adam blaming God for giving him Eve, who made him disobey. Adam and Eve goes ahead and justify their disobedience
Ø  When responding to why he ate the forbidden fruit and disobeyed God, Adam tells God ‘…the woman you put here with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it’
Ø  The spirit of disobedience is comparable to witchcraft
Ø  As a believer, when you do not obey what God says through his word and through his prophets, who include Pastors and Bishops, you become a poison to the church fellowship and creating discord in the body of Christ
Ø  In Hebrews 4:6-11, God states that those who disobey him will never enter His rest. Achieving God’s rest is the ultimate crown for a Christian believer.
Ø   If there is one thing you need to pursue persistently and zealously, it is God’s rest. This is because if you obey God and enter into His rest, you also rest from you own work, just as God did from his rest. THIS IS POWERFUL.

Ø  The ability to also (meaning there are other things you are resting from, such as ill health, stress, marital struggles, broken promises, failed dreams, missed opportunities and unfulfilled expectations etc), rest from your own work means that all your financial needs  are fully met.
