Seven Dnagerous Spirit: Series 7

Introduction
The walk in Christ is not supposed to be filled with misery, troubles, suffering, unfulfilled dreams and goals and characterized by despair. On the contrary, the walk in Christ should be filled with valleys that are overtaken by mountains, lack that is filled with fullness, despair overcome by hope, sickness countered by health and poverty overridden by wealth and riches that belongs to God. However, achieving the latter is often hindered by the seven dangerous spirits, which we have analyzed in detail in previous posts. This post, the last of the seven series of the seven dangerous spirits examines the spirit of disbelieve.
The Spirit of Disbelieve
The spirit of disbelieve grows gradually. There are various causes of disbelieve in our lives including
Ø  Educational content in school that feeds us theories that contradicts the word of God such as the big bang theory and Darwin’s theory that explains the story of creation and how things  came to be
Ø  False teachers who teach doctrines that make you feel spiritually secure while in error as indicated in Ezekiel 13:1-10
Ø  When individuals have affluence, they tend to be easy prey for the spirit of disbelieve because they think they do not need God as noted in Revelations 3:18. What such people do not know is that they may be rich but the spirit of disbelieve makes them wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
Ø  Erroneous religious beliefs as indicated by 2 Tim 3:5
Ø  In Hebrew 11: 6, it is written that without faith it is impossible to please God; As a Christian you must believe God is and He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
If you are in doubt of what God thinks about the unbelieving, well, read Revelations 21:8. If you are a disbelieving Christian, you will be the second in line after the cowardly to be thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. How sad is that? Before the murders and the witches are thrown into the fire and experience the second death, you will be heralding them! Why bother to go through what Christians go through only to lead the way to hell in the end?

Wake up and smell the coffee! Overcome the seven dangerous spirits and relish the splendor of God’s kingdom.

seven dangerous spirits: series 3

Introduction
This post is among a series of posts that discusses the seven dangerous spirits that have made you a beggar when you ought to be an heir, a follower when you ought to be a leader and a suffering Christian when you ought to be a blessed, favored and uplifted believer. Here, we discuss the spirit of disobedience, which has seen great men with possible great future such as King Saul, Lot’s wife, children of Israel, Adam and Eve and Queen Vashti among others, fall. The repercussions of the spirit of disobedience are so dire they affect not only the disobedient individuals but also, the community around them and even nation(s), reverberating up to the third and fourth generation. Mark you we are what we are because of Adam and Eve succumbing to the spirit of disobedience.
Spirit of Disobedience
The spirit of disobedience has the tendency to twist the truth, blame others and justify disobedient actions.
Ø  Adam and Eve are classic examples of people under the spell of the spirit of disobedient. Instead of admitting their disobedience, which is a sin, they went into a blaming mode with Adam blaming God for giving him Eve, who made him disobey. Adam and Eve goes ahead and justify their disobedience
Ø  When responding to why he ate the forbidden fruit and disobeyed God, Adam tells God ‘…the woman you put here with me-she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it’
Ø  The spirit of disobedience is comparable to witchcraft
Ø  As a believer, when you do not obey what God says through his word and through his prophets, who include Pastors and Bishops, you become a poison to the church fellowship and creating discord in the body of Christ
Ø  In Hebrews 4:6-11, God states that those who disobey him will never enter His rest. Achieving God’s rest is the ultimate crown for a Christian believer.
Ø   If there is one thing you need to pursue persistently and zealously, it is God’s rest. This is because if you obey God and enter into His rest, you also rest from you own work, just as God did from his rest. THIS IS POWERFUL.

Ø  The ability to also (meaning there are other things you are resting from, such as ill health, stress, marital struggles, broken promises, failed dreams, missed opportunities and unfulfilled expectations etc), rest from your own work means that all your financial needs  are fully met.

Seven Dangerous Spirits: Series 5

Introduction
In an attempt to open up your eyes to who you are; a royal priesthood, God’s heir, a conqueror, the head and blessed son of God, this post is among a series of posts that analyses the seven dangerous spirits that has blinded and oppressed you and in so doing, making you a poor, ineffective, uninspiring and unattractive Christian believer. This post delves the spirit of fear
The Spirit of Fear
Fear is worry
Ø  Fear is the opposite of faith and you know what, with fear meaning without faith, it is impossible to please God. When you want to please God, simply overcome fear
Ø  In 2 Kings 7:3-9, the four lepers overcome their fear and walk into the enemy’s camp. When they overcome their fear, they did not only save themselves from hunger but also, the city by being used as vessels that will help make the word of the prophet Elisha to come true. If the lepers had succumbed to their fear, they would have died outside the gate and forgotten. But look at them now, everywhere the bible is read, these men are remembered for their bravery and lack of fear!
Ø  Gen 15:1, ‘After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.’ It takes a step of faith to overcome fear and face what we do not know
Ø  Fear contradicts God’s word upon your life. In 2 Tim1:7,  ‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.’ Therefore, when you allow fear to penetrate into your life, you are in fact, submitting to the will of the devil because the will of God for you is to not fear
Ø  Most of the time as a believer, you are surrounded by people and events that generates fear and as such there are different types of fear including
       I.          Fear of the unknown
     II.          Fear of failure
   III.          Fear of people
  IV.          Fear of death
    V.          Fear of darkness
  VI.          Fear of consequences
VII.          Fear of threats/ risks
Ø  The most devastating thing about the spirit of fear is that, it will make you anxious, sick, stressed and worn out about things you have no control over
Ø  In Luke 12:25, Jesus asked his disciples ‘…who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? And Jesus goes ahead to say ‘…since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?’
Ø  As noted in our previous posts, the seven dangerous spirits seems harmless and innocent and that may explain why you may justify to yourself and others why you fear and worry when God explicitly tells you not to.
Ø  The spirit of fear will not only prevent you from achieving God’s promises and blessing in your life but also, it will breed cowardice in you and ensure you are a front runner on your way to hell! Yes, it is that serious! The spirit of fear will stop you from going to heaven.

Ø   If you thought you were better of as a fearful and cowardly Christian than a sinful unbelievers, prostitutes, witches or murderers, idolaters and liars think twice because, you will be the first in line to be scorched by the fiery lake of burning sulfur. If you are not yet convinced, read Revelations  21:8

Seven Dangerous Spirits: Series 4

Introduction
In our previous posts, we have been on a mission of exposing the seven dangerous spirits that have made you a slave in your father’s kingdom and have acted as the hindrance to the achievement of your divine purpose here on earth. The seven dangerous spirits are what stand between you and your desired future, where you do the things that make you happy and you are able to develop productive and healthy relationships between you, God and other people. This post zero in on the spirit of greed. Majority of people and I am not saying you are one them are under the strong hold of the spirit of greed and the sad thing is that they are not even aware of it and therefore, they do not do anything to counter this dangerous spirit. So, what is the spirit of greed and how does it present?
Spirit of Greed
The spirit of greed is motivated by selfishness, where a Christian believes or at least they convince themselves that they are the only people who ought to have the best things in life and nobody else.
Ø  The wages of the spirit of greed is death and in Acts 5:1-8, Ananias and Saphira met their sudden death because they thought they could lie to the servant of God Peter and even steal from God and keep the portion of what they had sold, to themselves. The spirit of greed compelled them to keep what did not belong to them, which ultimately killed them.
Ø  Greed and death are friends and In 2 Kings 5:19-, under the spirit of greed, Gehazi, Elisha’s servant could not help himself but to go ahead and take Naaman’s gift and hide them in his house not knowing that Elisha’s spirit was with him when he was carrying out his greedy act. Gehazi’s greed attracted a curse of leprosy not only on himself but also on his descendants forever! Be Warned, your greed shall ruin your life and that of your children, grandchildren up to the fourth generations. Is this worth it? To lose your life and soul for money and things that can disappear in a snap of a finger? Desire to overcome this spirit in order to enjoy God’s splendor
Ø  As highlighted in Joshua 7:41, the spirit of greed is a fertile ground for covetousness, where as a Christian you have strong desire to possess things that belong to other people and even God. Driven by the burning intensity of the spirit of greed, Achan took God’s devoted things as his own including a beautiful robe from Babylonia, 200 shekels of silver and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels. His greed made the Lord’s anger burn against Israel, with about 36 of them dying in war.
Ø  When you get your wages or salary and you eat the 10% that God has commanded you to take to His house, you literally are under the attack of this dangerous spirit and are in fact, stealing from God and using what belong to God as yours. Woe unto you brethren, because you cannot obtain the next level of blessings and favor!
Ø  It is only believers under the spirit of greed that asks what the church and other people can do for them and they never care to ask themselves what they can do for the church and other people. It is always about, I, I, I, ME, ME, ME, ME!
Ø  Such Christians are so drunk with the spirit of greed, they will go ahead and leave a church because they do not understand how the money in the church is being used (because they cannot believe the pastor deserve to be in charge of all that money; never mind they are lousy givers in the house of God) or when they feel they are not receiving enough attention. Beware when you obtain the recognition from people for what you do for God that is your reward! And forget about God blessing your life or getting a crown in heaven.
Ø  When a Christian is under the spirit of greed, they do not only pursue material wealth, they also seek status such as positions of leadership, so that they can be better placed in obtaining the attention, status and even resources that comes with that position. We see such believers in the church every day (you are nodding your head right now because you already know someone like that)
Ø  A believer under the attack of the spirit of greed suffers from discontentment. When oppressed by this spirit, you will not only seek to have everything for yourself but also, you will go to extreme lengths such as hurting others (including your family and friends) to get more, even when you do not need more. This is well illustrated by David’s action to take on Uriah’s wife, Bathsheba, when he had many wives, concubines and even more wealth to find other women to marry if he wanted to. In 2 Sam 11: 1-27, 2 Sam 12:8 ‘…And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.’
Ø  As earlier discussed, the seven dangerous spirits are door openers and they open doors to other evil spirits. When David allowed in the spirit of greed in his life, the spirit of greed opened up the door for death and sexual sin in not only in David’s life but also, in his children’s life with his first child with Bathsheba dying, Absalom taking his father’s concubines and having sex with them on top of the palace in public view of all Israel, Absalom killing Amnon and later being killed and Amnon, David’s son sleeping with his step sister Tamar.
Ø  When under the attack of the spirit of greed, you will tend to overlook other people’s interests and will only be concerned with achieving your own self interests.

In conclusion, you may be redeemed of Christ, baptized by many waters and be Holy Ghost filled but when you allow the spirit of greed to take control of your life, you are as good as a lost soul. However, there is hope. Simply, flee from greed by first accepting that you are greedy then begin being contented and appreciate others!

Seven Dangerous Spirits: Series 6

Introduction
This post is a continuation of teachings by Bishop Nyaa, pastor and founder at Uzima Tele Tele Church, which empower you as a Christian. This post exposes the spirit of pride, which is among the seven dangerous spirits that appear harmless but are lethal and once they enter into your life, they open doors to more evil and failure in your life.
The Spirit of Pride
Even the world understand the severe effects of the spirit of pride and you will often hear people state that pride comes before a fall
Ø  The Bible speaks of people who rose to the greatest heights in their lives only to fall because of their pride
Ø  A classic example of the wages of the spirit of pride is the fall of Lucifer from heaven.
Ø  Described as beautiful as the morning star and the son of the dawn, the devil was initially powerful and in Is 14:16 it shows that he was so powerful he made the earth shake and kingdoms to tremble but because of the spirit of pride, he was made an outcast and like a corpse trampled underfoot.
Ø  Believers under the attack of the spirit of pride suffer from the ‘I’ syndrome, which did cost the devil his place in heaven. According to Is 14:12-16, the devil allowed the I effect to control him
·       I will ascend into heaven,
·       I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:
·       I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
·       I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
·       I will be like the most High.
Ø  when the spirit of pride is in control, the presence of God departs from you and as you would expect, this is the beginning of your downfall
Ø  overcoming the spirit of pride comes with spiritual maturity as indicated in 1 Tim 3:6, He must be mature in the faith, so that he will not swell up with pride and be condemned, as the Devil was.
Ø  In 1Peter 5:5  In the same way you younger people must submit yourselves to your elders. And all of you must put on the apron of humility, to serve one another; for the scripture says, "God resists the proud, but shows favor to the humble."
Ø  This means that lack of pride attracts favor and you know what the word says about favour; ‘ favor is better than silver and gold’ Proverbs 22:1
Ø  God instructs us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 ‘if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’ This means that you can be called but when you have pride, God will not only turn his face from you but also, He will not heal your land (land representing your work, family, children, marriage, relationships and body among other aspects of your life
Ø  The spirit of pride makes you question those in authority and often, you think you are better than others and you cannot understand why others are chosen over you. A good example of people under the spirit of pride in the Bible are Aaron and Miriam in Numbers 12
Christians especially those in the positions of leadership such as church elders, deacons and departmental leaders such as the Praise and Worship leaders are most targeted by spirit of pride as illustrated in Numbers 16.

Seven Dangerous Spirits: Series 2

Introduction
In our previous post, we examined in great detail the spirit of poverty as one of the seven dangerous spirits that have rained havoc in your life and in your walk with Christ and has prevented you from actively participating in the things of God hence, making you an ineffective Christian. The effect of being an ineffective Christian is lack of growth in the church ministry and in your personal life because you can longer obtain and enjoy God’s rest and promises in your life. This post is the second series and it analyzes the spirit of deep sleep. Please read on and be free of this dangerous spirit.
The Spirit of Deep Sleep
As discussed in series 1, one of the characteristics of the seven dangerous spirits is that they seem harmless and innocent.
Ø  No other spirit among the seven dangerous spirits shrewdly operates as harmless and innocent as the spirit of deep sleep.
Ø  It is important to note that when speaking of the spirit of deep sleep, we are not speaking of physical sleep (although the spirit of deep sleep sometimes present as such) but of spiritual blindness, where as a believer, you are not aware of who you are in the kingdom of God, what you ought to be doing as a Christian and primarily, you are not cognizant of your position and rights as a heir in the kingdom of God.
Ø  In Isaiah 5:13, the bible talks of the spirit of ignorance where as a believer you are subjected to suffering, oppression, death, hunger and thirst (both spiritual and physical) because of ignorance.
Ø  Simply put, the spirit of ignorance is the spirit of deep sleep.
Ø  As a Christian believer you may be quick to console yourself that what you do not know cannot kill you. Well, you could not be further from the truth my brethren! What you do not know especially as God’s son and heir will not only kill you but also send you to hell! Imagine what could have happened if Jesus did not know what the Bible say about trying His God when He was tempted by the devil?
Ø  Under the strangle-hold of the spirit of deep sleep, you are unable to achieve God’s promises in your life and you continuously suffer as a Christian. This is because you are ignorant of what your rights are, you do not know what you don’t need to beg from God and you are ignorant of what you need to petition God for as a born again, baptized and Holy Ghost filled Christian! How sad is that? That your financial woes, sicknesses, loneliness, family breakdowns and failures are (not because God has not answered your prayers and not even the devil has hijacked answers to your prayers) but simply because you are under the attack of the spirit of deep sleep and you ignorant of what God requires of you and says about you and your life
Ø  It is not until you begin to understand and know what God requires and says about you that you can unshackle yourself from the spirit of deep sleep.
Ø  Spiritual immaturity is a favorable environment for the spirit of deep sleep to thrive. When it came for the children of Israel to enter the promise land, they did not depend on manna to fall from heaven and hit rocks to fill their tummies and quench their thirst respectively, they had to toil, go to wars with various native tribes in order to expand their territories, plant and harvest. In the same way, as a mature believer, break free from expecting miracles every time you hit a snag. You need to sweat and fight for your blessing through your giving, service to God and seed sowing. Simply, GROW UP!
Ø  Once you begin to mature in the things of God, you begin to know how God operates and you begin to understand that you receive from God through obedience and not miracles. Miracles to mature believers are just but incentives from God after you have received His blessing.
How To Overcome The Spirit of Deep Sleep
How can you counter what you do not know? Well, by knowing it first. The simplest way to defeat the spirit of ignorance, which is the spirit of deep sleep is to know what God says about you and what He requires of you by studying the word of God and being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Ø  Joshua 1:5- you must be willing to be the fool in the things of God, doing and following precisely what God requires of you
Ø  You must be strong and courageous in following God’s word. Its only then that you will rid yourself the spirit of deep sleep and prosper
1 Corinthians 1:18-31, sums it up 18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
In 1 Cor 2:12, it is written ‘We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us.’
Through the Holy Spirit, our ears are attuned to spiritual words and eyes are opened to spiritual truths. This is because for a man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
Now that you are free from the spirit of poverty and now wealthier and the spirit of deep sleep and now wiser, why not check out Series 3 to learn about the spirit of disobedience and become an obedient, wealthy and wise Christian believer?

Seven Dangerous Spirits Series: Series 1

This blog post is among series of posts that delves on the seven dangerous spirits that have made it impossible for you to inherit your rights and inheritance as the son and heir of God. It is until you are aware of who your enemy is and who you are dealing with that you can know which weapons and tactics to use to counter their attacks. The series are from a series of teachings by Bishop Nyaa, the founder of Uzima Tele Tele Church.
In Luke 8:2, Mary Magdalene was set free from the seven dangerous spirits and it is only when you are free of these spirits that you can begin to give yourself fully to Christ as Mary Magdalene did and experience God’s promises and favor in your life.
Characteristics of the Seven Dangerous Spirits
There are key characteristics that are common among the seven dangerous spirits, which includes
Ø  They influence rulers of the earth; you cannot begin to imagine how many administrations from across the globe are manipulated by the seven dangerous spirits. This is from the policies and strategies developed to drive economies, to the decisions and style of leadership practiced.
Ø  They hinder prosperity
Ø  They seem harmless and innocent; oddly, the seven dangerous spirits do not present as the monster they are but they come in the form of things that appear ordinary and even usual when in real sense they are not
Ø  They are lying spirits; since they are under their father the devil, who is a liar, they easily lie
Ø  They are defiling spirits; they defile your body, mind and soul so that you can depart from the presence of God and when you are far away from the only Father who can protect and fight for you, they devour you and leave you wasted
Ø  They are confusing spirits; they bring in confusion and discord where there ought be order so that they can divide and concur
Ø  They are faking spirits; because everything on heavens and earth belongs to God, the devil has no choice but to use copies of what God has to convince the sons of God
Ø  They are disconnecting spirits; they disconnect you from your divine purpose, goals, vision and mission and disconnect you from the fellowship with your brethren and the Holy Trinity
Ø  They are discouraging spirits; they have mastered the art of negativity by injecting discouraging thoughts in your mind and in so doing, it gets easy for them to influence you as a believer to give up on God and fall. The devil knows that the battle is in the mind and when he captures your mind, you are under his siege
Ø  They are greedy spirits; they do not get contented and believers under the attack of these spirits are not contented with what God has given them and their greediness drives them to sin
Ø  They are failure spirits; the seven dangerous spirits are intended to make you fail in your walk with Christ, in your visions, goals and mission as a Christian, in your work and family and service to God.

      I.          The Spirit of Poverty
Through the spirit of poverty, the devil makes you an ineffective Christian. When the devil realizes that he cannot make you not to go to heaven or fall in your walk in Christ, he makes you a useless Christian who has no impact in the kingdom of God and who cannot effectively and efficiently participate in the things of God. Check Luke 16:19-22
·       Whether you admit it or not, there is a misguided conception that poverty is better than riches and money is evil. Get this, it is written money is the answer for everything and it is only the LOVE FOR MONEY that is evil.
·       Pro 11:24, money worshippers are poor
·       Interestingly, resources allows you to do things of God including evangelism
·       It is until you are willing to give yourself that you will gain yourself. Simply, give to receive. Those who attempt to save their lives lose it.

The spirit of poverty hinders
Ø  Personal growth; you cannot achieve your dreams when you are poor
Ø  Ministry growth; the church need people with resources to make things move such as buying high tech equipment, payment of utilities and airtime in TV and radio ministry.
Ø  Evangelism; soul winning ministry is highly dependent on resources and when you lack, you  cannot evangelize consistently as required, which means you fail to do the one thing Jesus requires of you, be fishers of men!
Pharaoh knew the power of wealth and that is why he was willing to let the Israelites go without their wealth. Thank God for Moses, he understood the power of wealth and he was adamant not to leave the land of slavery without their wealth- not even one hoof (smallest part of the wealth) could be left behind. Furthermore, when you have wealth and riches, you can give God anything He wants because you never what He may want from you, be it a house, children, money, land and time among others. The Israelites understood this.
How To Defeat the Spirit of Poverty
      I.          Hate Poverty; to overcome the spirit of poverty you must be willing to avoid saying things that bind you to poverty
Ø  You better begin prophesying and declaring what God says about wealth. In Deut 28:8, it is written that blessings of God makes us wealthy
Ø  Silver and gold belongs to God and as such, you must be mature enough in Christ to be trusted with all this wealth
Ø  You can serve God’s kingdom when wealthy because although it is difficult for a rich man to enter heaven, it is not impossible when you know who God is in your life
Poverty
Ø  is a curse
Ø  is ungodly
Ø  is satanic

II.          Obey God’s Principles of Wealth
Joshua 1:6-9
Ø  GIVE: everything in nature gives and receives, the only place known to receive and does not give is the dead sea and the name tell it all J
Ø  Give and it shall be given back to you a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and runneth over 100%, 50% and 30%
Ø  HARD WORK: ask and you shall receive, seek and yee shall find, knock and the door shall be opened for you
Ø  Nothing good comes easy, you MUST work hard
Ø  WISDOM; let money work for you and not the other way round
Ø  be smart about how you go about achieving your wealth; look out for viable cash cows or money making machines, which are systems that will ensure you have constant flow of cash while you are still serving God in his kingdom regardless of when and where you are.

When you learn, (which is a process) to be not only the hearer but a doer of the word of God, you achieve spiritual maturity that will allow you to enjoy your inheritance as God’s heir.

Now, you have heard, do it and be free of the spirit of poverty! And remember to look out for Series 2, which analyses the spirit of deep sleep.

Day Care Centers:

The cost of living has gone up necessitating both parents to work and the girl child has been given equal opportunities in education and employment, which gives her the chance to earn a living.  This has resulted in more and more mothers having careers that have pushed them out of homes and denying them the time required for caring for their children (Barber, 2000, p.106). This has resulted in children in modern society being left under the care of nannies also referred to as house helps and alternatively, under the care of day care centers. Whether day care centers are giving our kids the attention we need is debatable.

Sustaining Intimacy Despite Chronic Illness

With reports by the British journal The Lancet indicating that marriages where one partner is suffering from chronic illness are likely to end in unfaithfulness and divorce, it becomes fundamental to learn ways that you can sustain intimacy despite chronic illness as a Christian. Some of the ways to sustain intimacy despite chronic illness includes
